Hefei Launches Govt Service on Metro Line 3

Hefei has introduced a new way to make government services more accessible. On September 2, the city opened its first “Metro + Government Services” hub at Line 3’s Government Affairs Center Station—the first of its kind in Anhui.
The hub features self-service machines for social security, medical insurance, and real estate matters, available during metro operating hours. This means you can handle tasks like printing pension statements or checking insurance details while commuting.
There is also a manned service counter open on weekdays for services such as medical advertisement approvals, with staff on hand to help with paperwork.
Additional conveniences include seating, charging stations, hot water, and an emergency kit. Authorities say more services—like property, insurance, and housing fund consultations—will be added in the future.
This new model aims to save time, reduce queues at government offices, and make it easier for busy residents, including expats, to manage official matters on the go.
