Stop Using this Power Bank ! Over 14k Recalled

Xiaomi has announced a voluntary recall of over 146,000 units of its PB2030MI model power banks due to potential safety hazards. The recall was issued after an issue with the battery cells used in some of the devices, supplied by a third-party vendor.

According to the official announcement from Xiaomi and a notice from Beijing's Market Supervision Administration, some of the PB2030MI power banks, which were manufactured between August 2024 and September 2024, may contain cells from an affected batch. These cells could cause the power banks to overheat or, in extreme cases, catch fire under certain conditions.

The affected units come in two colors: light coffee and gray-blue. They also feature a Type-C fast charging cable.
